Glenn graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne and a MBA from The Henley Management College. After initially working for the family company, he joined a multi national oil company. Over 20 years he worked in many areas of the oil and chemical business including sales, marketing, business development, mergers and acquisitions, new product development, manufacturing etc. At aged 40, Glenn was appointed Group Sales and Marketing Director and Managing Director of two subsidiary companies.

Glenn joined the Armour Group as AHE managing Director in 2003, based in Bishops Stortford, reporting to Group CEO George Dexter.

Glenn has two children at University and is a keen squash player.

Kathy Jordon

Operations Director

Kathy has been with the Armour Group since 1999, previously working for the Automotive Division.

Kathy followed A Levels with study at Guildford University and whilst working for Armour completed an HND in Business.

Kathys first job was Sales Manager for a privately owned clay brickworks in Hampshire. During this time she designed and managed a build project for her own home where she still lives. She then set up and ran the UK distribution for a US/Swiss petro-chemical additive company before joining Autoleads in 1987 which was subsequently bought by Amour.

Kathy has worked in all areas of the business and is now Operations Director.

Gordon Salter

Gordon Salter

International Sales Manager

After graduating from the University of Sheffield with a BA in Business Studies, Gordon started his career as a graduate trainee with Allied Breweries, followed by 20 years working with UK and US blue chip multi-nationals in a variety of sales and marketing roles.

Gordon's experience covers most regions of the world, including overseas postings in the Middle East and Greece, developing international brands, managing sales organisations and setting up overseas operations.

Returning to the UK in 2000, he spent two years as a marketing and business development consultant before joining Armour, where he is now responsible for the International Sales team reporting to Glenn McClelland, AHE's Managing Director.

Gordon is married, has a son at university. When he is not travelling he enjoys photography and visits to the local gym trying to keep fit after having hung up his boots four years ago.

Bob Abraham

Business Development Director

Bob co-founded QED when he was 19 years old and remained Managing Director of the company for over 30 years until it was acquired by Armour Group plc in October 2003. During the 1970's, he was instrumental in introducing products for the then emerging "added value" accessory market, in particular, high performance speaker and interconnect cables. During the 1980's Bob played a pivotal role in QED entering what we would now call the "lifestyle" market, in the form of Hi-Fi separates that could be ordered in a varitiy of colours including red, white & blue! He also had the vision to take QED in to the CI market which at the time was still in its infancy. Further to this, he helped co-found CEDIA in the U.K.

Bob is now AHE Business Development Director, based in Woking, reporting to M.D. Glenn McClelland

Bob is married with one teenage son and enjoys playing tennis. He is an ECB level 1 qualified cricket coach and is currently involved in coaching and managing local U13 & U15 cricket teams.

Rob Neil

UK Sales Director

Rob Neil was educated in Scotland where he left school with 8 O-levels and 3 A-levels. He then went on to do a three year professional business consultancy course with ICI; following this, sales was chosen as a career path which included working with Rowntree, Macintosh and Samsung UK. He then spent 15 years in the construction industry with a one billion t/o private company called Hager, finishing as Regional Sales Manager running the London team with a £12 million budget.

Then came the call of Armour to be Linn brand manager and then onto National Sales Manager for the UK. Now just completing 3 years with AHE.

Adrian Ickeringill

Systemline Modular Manager

Adrian graduated with a BA (Hons) in Business and Admin from Humberside University following a HND in Business Studies and Marketing. He joined Veda products in 1997 as a Graduate trainee. Adrian became Product Manager for Sonance on Veda's appointment as UK Distributor and also took on responsibility for Channel Plus and Imerge products aside from having a Sales Territory as part of the newly formed Custom Install Division.

Following the development of Systemline Modular and the acquisition of Veda & QED by Armour, Adrian was appointed to Sales Manager of Systemline Modular. Now in his 10th year with the company, Adrian is married with two children aged 4 & 1.

Ashley was educated to GCSE level in Bath where he achieved eight passes at C and above. He then studied a City and Guilds qualification in Business and Finance for a further two years. Ashley spent the first 4 years of his working life working in sales on a self employed basis in Wiltshire before moving into the Consumer Electronics industry working for an independent retailer based in Bath. After approximately 12 months in retail Ashley moved into Custom Installation heavily involved in the process through from sales and specification to first fix and commissioning for two years.

Ashley started working for Armour as an Areas Sales Manager in 2002 and was promoted to Category Manager in mid 2005 and reports to the Rob Neil, AHE National Sales Manager.

Ashley Hutchinson

Darrell Huggins

Director/Hong Hong Office

Darrell, now in tenth year of working within the Armour organisation, has successfully introduced many award winning products and brands into the Armour portfolio. With a strong back ground in mechanical and electrical engineering Darrell brings with him an entrepreneurial approach to product development and business ventures. Darrell's experience of finding new product and working knowledge of business practices through out the world enables Darrell to Design, manufacture any produce through out the globe. With over eight years experience of sourcing and manufacturing products in the Far East sees Darrell spening over 3 months of the year traveling. Currently in final stages of year one studying MBA at Henley Business College.

Darrell's role within AHE sees him reporting to AHE Managing Director, Glenn B McClelland within the role of Business Development Manager, overseeing a fast response team to product and Business Development.

Darrell's spare time is spent looking after two sons under the age of 8, keen motorcyclist and keeping fit.

Tony started out in Consumer Electronics as a retailer, founding the Audio T and Superfi chains of stores. After 25 years, needing a new challenge, Tony sold his business and became Sales Manager for Mission, one of the UK's leading speakers companies before joining Armour as Consumer Products Manager in 2002.

Martin Thom

R&D Manager

Martin's BSc (Hons) in Communications and Electronic Engineering took him straight into a career in communications for a global player working first briefly with hardware and then exploiting his talent for software. After quite a few years climbing the ranks Martin joined Philips to move into a management position; and to be closer to consumer electronics. Martin has been managing technical people ever since for consumer electronics and I.T. companies. Armour gives Martin the opportunity to work in his favourite areas of consumer electronics.

Martin joined Armour Home Electronics early in 2006 to head up the Research and Development Department, reporting to Glenn McClelland.

Martin enjoys Cinema, Theatre, Video Games, Music and Books and is really looking forward to High Definition at home.

Phil Davis

Phil graduated from the University of Portsmouth with a BA (Hons) Business & Marketing in 2002. After gaining valuable experience throughout his studies he further developed his skills through teaching at an IT college and managing sales and marketing within the hospitality industry.

After a gap year (2) travelling throughout the globe, Phil took up the responsiblility of managing the development of the QED cable brand within Armour Home Electronics. This position has allowed him to develop a broad range skills that can be applied to various parts of the Armour business.

Reporting into the Business Development Manager, Phil's key responsibilities include the development of new QED Products, co-ordinating marketing / promotional activities, developing improved relationships with AHE suppliers and providing the neccessary support required to the various sales teams accross our domestic and international markets.

Steve Reichert

PR Manager

If you include his days as a 'Saturday boy', Steve Reichert is a 31year veteran of the U.K. hi-fi and consumer electronics industry.

Steve explains: "Like everyone whose teenage years spanned the 60s, I was passionate about music, and because we never left the house without a couple of record albums under our arms, it was logical to become passionate about hi-fi as well. We were all desperate to hear every last nuance of every recording."

Steve was offered a job at his local hi-fi shop whilst still at school and spent the next 17 years in hi-fi retail, rising through the ranks to become a director of one of the country’s leading specialist hi-fi chains. This was followed by a 12 year spell as the National Sales Manager of a British consumer electronics manufacturer, which in turn, led to his current position as the PR Manager at Armour Home Electronics, the principal supplier to the hi-fi and 'Whole House' home entertainment industry in the UK.

Married for 27 years, he lives with his wife and two children in Hertfordshire.

Nick Thornton

Since leaving University, Nick has held positions with a number of London based design agencies, where he was responsible for the creation of printed literature, websites, merchandising and interior design. During this period he gained valuable experience working on a wide portfolio of projects for brands including Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United Football Clubs, Inspiration and Style Holidays, Grove Fresh Fruit Juice, Transition Lenses, The Premier Football League, Barclay Card, Ladbrokes and The Venetian and Aladdin Casinos in Las Vegas.

Nick joined Armour Home Electronics as the Marketing Studio manager in July 2004. He leads a team of skilled designers who create advertising, brochures, websites, point of sale and packaging for Armour's extensive brand portfolio.

Married, Nick finds most of his spare time is consumed by his young family.

Ross Durr

Divisional Management Accountant

Ross left school after sitting his A-level exams and joined the finance team of a local Industrial Glove Manufacturer. He spent almost 5 years there, during this time he successfully completed the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants examinations. After 14 months with a telecoms company in London, Ross joined AHE as Project Accountant based in Bishop’s Stortford, in April 2005. He reports to Nicky Spence AHE FD.

Ross has recently taken up golf. He has a season ticket for Arsenal, and is a co-owner of a 4 year-old racehorse called Louphole.

Paul Hilditch

Integrated Systems Specialist

Paul graduated from University College London with a Bsc in Physics. He quickly found the custom installation business and joined a leading London company installing multi-room systems for seven years. He moved into project management and focused on systems integration for a number of years before joining Armour Home Electronics as Technical Support and Training manager in 2003.

Paul is a music lover, and enjoys walking and swimming. He is married and has one daughter who is 18 months old.

Paul left school after studying for A levels and after a brief spell in insurance joined North West Auto Trader 1992. Starting life in sales Paul progressed into a number of management roles and was appointed as Advertising manager in 1997. In 2002 Paul moved to Trader Media Group the parent company of Auto Trader as business development director. After a year in this role he was appointed as General Manager of Southern Auto Trader in 2004.

Paul joined Armour in January 2007 as National account manager for Alphason.

Michelle Dorrian

Sales Office Manager

Michelle previously worked for the computer giant ICL for eight years selling point of sale to the major oil companies.

Michelle joined Veda in 2002 and progressed to Sales Office Manager after the Armour aquisition in 2003. Reporting to Rob Neil, Michelle manages the internal sales office and is currently studying for a CIPP qualification in HR Management at Cambridge Regional College.

Michelle is married with two children.

I obtained 10 GCSE's A-C. After leaving school I obtained a BTEC in Business & Finance and studied part time for a HND in Business Studies whilst working. I was previously employed as an Account Manager for Apollo Metals for 8 years. Here I was in a Sales/Purchasing/Customer service role looking after the largest subcontractors that manufactured components for BAE Systems Military aircraft. I've been employed by ADL since 2002, starting out in Sales Admin, I progressed to Sales Office Supervisor within the first 12 months of my employment and shortly after became Sales Office Manager where I'm responsible for the whole internal sales function. I'm currently in my first year of the Henley MBA which takes up a fair amount of my spare time outside of work.

Born and educated in Scotland, a graduate in Communications Electronics. Started in product development for KEF, then 5 years international pro sound contracting before returning to KEF as Sales and Marketing Director, then MD.

Appointed Tannoy MD in 1990. Formed own business development practise in 2000 working with: Federal Signal Corporation, Mission and latterly Audica.

Divisional Quality Control Manager

Paul has been with the Armour group for eight years, having previously worked for the automotive division.

Paul gained various qualifications in electronics at city & guilds and ONC levels followed by a HNC in Business & Finance.

Paul's management career started with a multi national computer company, starting in a junior position and was promoted up through to Manufacturing Manager, before joining Armour Automotive where he had responsibilities in operations and quality.

In this role, Paul reports to the Operations Director, setting up and managing the quality management system and working with suppliers and Armour Home’s production facility to control the quality of products.

Paul is married with three young daughters.

David Jefferys

International Area Sales Manager

David started his career in the pro audio industry in the late 1970's moving to consumer audio products in the mid 80's when he joined loudspeaker specialist Tannoy as UK Sales Manager. Started international sales mid 90's with Tannoy's sister company Mordaunt-Short and then back to Tannoy as International Sales Manager.

David left Tannoy in 2002 and started his own international sales consultancy, his first client was Alphason. He now co-ordinates Alphason sales worldwide and is responsible for developing sales for both Alphason and Armour Home in Eastern Europe.

David is married with two adult daughters. He enjoys travel, music, modern history and work!

Alex Kroworz

Alex has an engineering degree in electronics supplemented by professional sales & marketing training. With more than 27 years experience in the Consumer Electronics industry Alex is almost in the veteran class.

For more then 14 years Alex was responsible at Onkyo Europe for technical support and all product, sales & marketing training in Germany and around Europe. He also gained valuable experience with Custom Install projects.

As ASM for Northern Europe Alex is responsible for AH international brand distribution to Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Norway.

Married with two children (4yr old daughter and 7yr old son), Alex plays in a band (keys & guitar) and flies powered gliders and motor planes in a local air club.
