iPod Speaker System Delivers Wireless 'Whole Home' Audio and Supports up to 4 Individual Wireless Stereo Satellite Speakers

Armour Home is pleased to announce it has been appointed by 'IntelliTouch' to be the exclusive UK distributor of 'Eos,' the world's first digital wireless "whole home audio" speaker system for iPod.

Using breakthrough WiFi friendly technology, the Eos system links up to four stereo remote wireless speakers, establishing interference-free CD level sound quality (48Khz). Eos' GigaWave® technology employs error correction and a unique frequency hopping scheme for a range of up to 50 metres through walls and ceilings in both indoor and outdoor environments.

At the heart of the Eos system is an iPod docking base station/transmitter that features two high performance stereo speakers and a ported sub-woofer. Importantly, the base station also benefits from a 3.5mm input jack allowing music from any other source with a suitable output, such as CD players, radios, computers, MP3 players and the like, to be connected. The system features the added benefit of SRS WOW® sound enhancement technology. SRS WOW improves the dynamic audio performance of compressed and uncompressed audio by expanding the size of the audio image and creating a deep, rich bass response. The attributes of the SRS WOW signal are broadcast to all the wireless stereo remote speakers linked to the base station/transmitter.

Like the base station, the Eos remote wireless speakers boast two high-performance stereo drivers and a ported subwoofer. The revolutionary design of the wireless remote speaker features a removable, integrated power supply that allows the speaker to mount directly on a wall power outlet independently, without mounting brackets or other support. By removing the power supply from its cavity on the rear of the cabinet, the stereo remote speaker can sit independently on a table or bookshelf.

Sound quality from both the dock and satellite speakers is regarded as 'best in class'.

"However," said IntelliTouch Executive VP Jeff O'Shea. "As good as the sound quality is, what is truly phenomenal is Eos' audio link. The Eos system broadcasts impeccable CD quality sound throughout the home -- without the expense and hassle of drilling through walls and running wires. Forget everything you've ever experienced with wireless speaker systems of the past; Eos' wireless technology has to be heard to be believed."

The recommended retail price of the core system, which includes a docking station/transmitter with built-in speakers and one extra wireless remote stereo speaker, is £249.95 including vat at 15%.

In addition, up to three further wireless stereo speakers can receive signals from one base station. Extra speakers are priced at £99.95 each including vat. This means a full five room, wireless audio system comes to less than £550.

The Eos system has a two year warranty and is available now from Veda.co.uk (www.veda.co.uk ) and authorised dealers throughout the UK.
