The Armour Training Academy has launched its new Custom Installation ‘Foundation Knowledge’ course at its brand new training facility, sited within Alphason’s impressive new premises at Hindley Green, near Manchester.
This new course instils the essential knowledge required by newer employees and managers within the Custom Installation industry and is already proving very popular, with more than 40 delegates attending the first three sessions.
The Seminars were led by Paul Brett, one of the Academy’s technical support and training executives, who stated: “The CI Foundation Knowledge course is primarily aimed at people starting out in CI, either from a commercial product background or completely new to the industry. Having said this, we have found the course to be well received by a wide range of attendees, some of whom had 2-3 years experience in the CI market and just wanted to consider an alternative perspective to their current way of undertaking projects.” Paul continued “We’re especially pleased that the ‘open forum’ aspect of the seminar works so well. Many of the delegates make excellent contributions and then these sessions become the cumulative thoughts of the whole group and don’t just reflect any single person’s idea.
Ashley Hutchinson, Armour’s category manager responsible for the Academy added: ”Within the Armour technical and training team we believe it’s essential to maintain a high level of professionalism throughout our industry and that certain minimum standards and best practices must be taught to installers as early as possible. This course is designed to aid that process, with resulting benefits for both the consumer and the CI industry as a whole. In the main, the course content has derived from the real world experiences of our longest established and successful installers, to whom we offer our sincere thanks. In particular, I must mention Chris Woodward of ‘Sound Creation’, who not only aided the documentation section of the course, but also gave his time to visit the Academy and provide advice on the content and format.” The one day seminar covers every aspect of a custom installation, from creating a relationship with the customer and establishing a budget, to purchasing schedules and service contracts.
The cost of the seminar is £99+VAT. For further information and training dates at both Bishops Stortford and Manchester venues please contact Hannah Creasey on 01279-719948 or hannah.creasey@armourhome.co.uk
