Q Acoustics announces price changes, effective 1st April 2009

Award-winning British Loudspeaker company, Q Acoustics, announces that recent adverse changes to exchange rates are forcing it to revise the price of its loudspeakers with effect from the 1st April 2009.

Q Acoustics is a brand of Armour Home, Tony Jones, their category manager with special responsibility for Q Acoustics stated: "Unfortunately, the fall in the value of Sterling against other major currencies, especially the U.S. Dollar, over the past six months has led to an increase in our costs of more than 30%. I'm sure everyone will understand that, under these circumstances, we can no longer hold our prices at their current levels."

Mr Jones continued: "We have however, endeavoured to hold increases to a minimum, which, I'm pleased to say, means Q Acoustics loudspeaker prices are going up by an average of only 9.5%."

"Even better news," said Mr Jones; "we have actually been able to reduce the prices of the dedicated Q-AV floor stand, table stand and wall brackets. Remarkably, this means the price of a complete Q-AV 5.1 speaker package, including the rotating, universal TV table stand, is now only £800 including vat, a reduction of £80."

From 1st April 2009, Q Acoustics recommended retail prices, including vat at 15%, will be:
