Q Acoustics Introduces 'Disappearing' Home Cinema Speakers!

Q Acoustics is extremely proud to introduce 'Q-AV' a revolutionary new 5.1 'Style' home cinema speaker package which is expected to transform the market when it is released at the end of February 2008.

Q Acoustics is a brand of Armour Home. Tony Jones, Armour's Consumer Products Manager, responsible for Q Acoustics, stated:

"We're all incredibly excited by the vast potential of the Q-AV system. It boasts a number of innovative 'patents applied for' design features and will see the world's first use of state-of-the-art 'BMR' (Balanced Mode Radiator) drive units."

"However," Mr Jones continued, "the real reason we are so confident of success with the Q-AV speaker package is because it delivers truly sensational, room-filling sound, yet 'disappears' when set-up in the customers home."

Mr Jones went on to say: "Of course, the speakers don't literally disappear, the Q Acoustics design team are brilliant but even they can't defy the laws of physics. What they have produced, is a super quality speaker system that adjusts so perfectly, when fitted below a modern flat screen television, that visually it 'disappears' by becoming part of the television itself. Anyone who isn't 'in the know', will believe the fantastic cinema sound they are hearing is simply emitting from the television in front of them."

The front three (left, centre and right) channel speakers fit onto a patented bracket (included with the system), which adjusts for both width and front to back depth. This bracket allows the speakers to be perfectly aligned with all flat screen televisions from 37" to 50" screen size. Also included is an equally flexible single speaker grille assembly, which adjusts 'like a trombone slide' to ensure an exact fit. To complete the illusion, the Q Acoustics badge is magnetic and if required, can be simply removed, leaving no branding other than that of the television itself.

If the TV is fixed flat to a wall, then the Q-AV bracket would be similarly mounted. To cover other options, universal brackets, floor and table television stands are available.

It looks amazing, how does it sound? The answer is 'astonishingly good!'

The secret of the Q-AV speaker's exceptional performance lies in their 'Balanced Mode Radiator' (BMR) drive units. Q Acoustics' Q-AV is the first speaker in the world to use this NXTTM Licensed technology which combines the piston like motion of a moving coil drive unit with that of a flat exciter panel. Apart from their dynamic, open, detailed and ultra low distortion sound, they exhibit an extraordinarily wide soundstage (almost 180 degrees). Uniquely, this enables listeners to enjoy great sound wherever they sit in the room and also allows the rear speakers to be mounted discreetly at either low (skirting board) or high (coving) level without any loss of sonic performance. This flexibility of positioning allows very easy installation with, for example, cables running neatly along the skirting board.

The 'powerhouse' of the 5.1 package is of course the matching Q-AV subwoofer. Needless to say, this 120 Watt, wall mounted design, perfectly complements the 5 main channel speakers in both sound and style. Once again the model 'disappears' within the living environment because, frankly, its slimline design leads people to think it's a wall heater. In other words, it's styled to look like something normally seen in the home, not something that stands out because it's alien to it, as with conventional subwoofers.

The Q-AV speaker system will be available from Q Acoustics dealers worldwide from the end of February 2008.

The UK suggested retail price for the full 5.1 package is £599.90. The 3.1 package is £519.09. Both prices include VAT.
